Orem Public Library provides Study Rooms free of charge for individual and group use. The rooms vary in size to accommodate up to eight people. They are located on the Main and Top floors of the South Wing of the library. Each Study Room has tables, chairs, power outlets, and high-speed wireless internet access.
Study Rooms are available for use on a first come, first served basis. They may not be reserved ahead of time. Each person or group may use a Study Room for one two-hour session per day. If there is not a waiting list within fifteen minutes of the end of the original two hours, the session may be extended for up to two additional hours for a total of four continuous hours. Sessions may not be broken into smaller segments, i.e., users may not have two one-hour sessions instead of one two-hour session.
Library programs and community partners have priority access to the Study Rooms.
To use a room, present an Orem Public Library card or photo ID to a library staff member at the Main Floor Reference Desk. You will trade your card or ID for a key to a Study Room. Staff will keep your card or ID at the Reference Desk until you return the key at the end of your session.
Study Rooms must be vacated by 8:45pm on Monday-Friday and 5:45pm on Saturday.
The Orem Public Library reserves the right to limit access or end sessions for any reason. Library staff reserve the right to enter the Study Rooms at any time.
Study Rooms are intended to support study by individuals or groups. They not are not intended for commercial purposes. Commercial transactions are prohibited.
Study Room users must abide by the Orem Public Library Patron Code of Conduct.
