This curated collection of resources features virtual programs created by the Orem Library as well as lists of the best online resources from other educational institutions.

All resources are free to Orem Library card holders.


Biography Resource Center

Integrates award-winning biographies with related full-text articles from hundreds of magazines and newspapers, as well as tens of thousands of images, reference books, and links to vetted websites. Search for people—both current and historic from all eras and fields of endeavor—based on name, occupation, nationality, etc. You can use this online resource to find authors, pop culture icons, politicians, and many others.

EBSCO eBooks

EBSCO eBooks offers thousands of titles, both fiction and nonfiction. You can browse this collection by simply clicking on ‘eBooks’ in the upper left hand corner of the search page.


Provides students with easy-to-use features and age-appropriate content from the world’s leading magazines and reference books.

Funk and Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia

A general encyclopedia containing over 25,000 information segments appropriate for the research needs of school students.

Middle Search Plus

Provides full text for more than 140 popular, middle school magazines. Full text is also available for thousands of biographies and historical essays. Middle Search Plus also contains 84,774 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 341,655 photos, maps and flags.

Primary Search

Provides full text for more than 70 popular magazines for elementary school students. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator, and full text information dates as far back as 1990.

Provides free one-to-one tutoring and homework help for Orem Public Library card holders.

Utah’s Online Library

A virtual library created by the Utah State Library Division in cooperation with Utah’s public libraries. This resource is aimed at all Utah residents and serves Utah’s public schools and academic institutions, as well as patrons of public libraries.



Provides a library of free online textbooks, videos, exercises, flashcards, and real world applications for over 5000 concepts.

Preschool Pioneer

Preschool Pioneer Library aggregates interactive learning games, curriculum ideas, parent and caregiver support materials, and other vetted resources from PBS, national, and local providers. The site is free to all families with young children in Utah.
