Kids Search: Early World of Learning

Primary Search Provides full text for more than 70 popular magazines for elementary school students. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator, and full text information dates as far back as 1990.

As of July 1, 2016, Orem Public Library will no longer provide access to Searchasaurus. Middle Search Plus Provides full text for more than 140 popular, middle school magazines. Full text is also available for thousands of biographies and historical essays. Middle Search Plus also contains 84,774 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 341,655 photos, maps and flags. 


Biography Resource Center integrates award-winning biographies with related full-text articles from hundreds of magazines and newspapers, as well as tens of thousands of images, reference books, and links to vetted websites. Search for people---both current and historic from all eras and fields of endeavor---based on name, occupation, nationality, etc. You can use this online resource to find authors, pop culture icons, politicians, and many others. 


World Book for Kids offers access to full-text World Book entries and many photographs, maps, and charts. A special section on exploring Utah that provides links to applicable encyclopedia articles and information on the state, biographies of important Utahans, and information about the State’s economy and population. This online reference resource also includes an atlas and a dictionary. This is a great place to begin any research assignment.

About the City of Orem Library

The Orem Library is open Monday through Friday 9am until 9pm and on Saturdays from 9am until 6pm. We are closed Sundays and Holidays. Click here for a list of observed holidays.

If you need to return books outside of these hours, a 24-hour drive through book and media drop is located on the North side of the Library.

We are located at 58 North State Street in Orem, Utah at the north end of the City Center Complex (on the northeast corner of State and Center Streets). Parking is to the east of the library building and is accessed from 100 North. If you need assistance please call 229-7050.
