Academic Search is an excellent place to begin your next research paper. This database provides full text for more than 4,500 journals covering many topics, and includes full text for more than 3,700 peer-reviewed titles. Some journals are available in full-text as early as 1975. 

Biography Resource Center Find award-winning biographies with related full-text articles from hundreds of magazines and newspapers, as well as tens of thousands of images, reference books, and links to vetted websites. Search for people---both current and historic from all eras and fields of endeavor---based on name, occupation, nationality, etc.

Newspaper Source provides cover-to-cover full text for 35 national & international newspapers. The database also contains selective full text for 375 regional (U.S.) newspapers. In addition, full text television & radio news transcripts are also provided. 

ProQuest Newsstand indexes 1,379 national and international newspapers, including the Deseret News, the Salt Lake Tribune, and the Wall Street Journal. The indexing covers not only complete bibliographic information but also companies, people, products, etc.
 
Student Research Center is a one stop help on a variety of topics for students 7-12 grade. Topics include Art & Media, English and Language Arts, Business, Careers, Current Issues, Health, History, Math, Science, Social Studies, Sports, and Technology. These are covered in a variety of formats from Magazines ti Radio and TV News Transcripts. 

TOPICsearch contains full text for over 105,000 articles from 1,622 diverse sources including international and regional newspapers, magazine articles, biographies, public opinion polls, book reviews, pamphlets, and government information.

Utah Newsearch indexes of ALL of Utah's newspaper archives from 2004 to current.  Each newspaper provides fully-searchable PDFs of the complete newspapers, which lets you see both photos and headlines. There is a two week delay. 

World Book Info Finder offers access to full-text World Book entries and many photographs, maps, and charts. A special section on exploring Utah that provides links to applicable encyclopedia articles and information on the state, biographies of important Utahans, and information about the State’s economy and population. This online reference resource also includes an atlas and a dictionary. This is a great place to begin any research assignment. 

World Book Reference Center provides tools for gathering and using information, including dictionaries, current events from Reuters and PBS, Computer and Web Tutorials, Life Skills, Government Resources and more.

About the City of Orem Library

The Orem Library is open Monday through Friday 9am until 9pm and on Saturdays from 9am until 6pm. We are closed Sundays and Holidays. Click here for a list of observed holidays.

If you need to return books outside of these hours, a 24-hour drive through book and media drop is located on the North side of the Library.

We are located at 58 North State Street in Orem, Utah at the north end of the City Center Complex (on the northeast corner of State and Center Streets). Parking is to the east of the library building and is accessed from 100 North. If you need assistance please call 229-7050.
